Hobbing

Lampin manufactures standard and custom gears & sprockets in both metal and plastic.

Custom Hobbed Components for Any Application

Many distributors of hobbed products purchase standard stock parts from multiple low-cost, offshore manufacturers with little to no source control. At Lampin, we specialize in producing new hobbed components that have been customized to meet the specific needs of our customers, rather than modifying standard products purchased from large distributors. This enables us to guarantee that all hobbed products will function as intended and gives you the peace of mind knowing that your parts are made in the USA at an ISO certified manufacturer. Lampin has produced hobbed components for a variety of industries in the past, including:

  • Laboratory automation
  • Packaging equipment
  • Process controls
  • Industrial automation
  • Robotics
  • Semiconductor manufacturing
  • Medical equipment

Timing Belt Pulleys

Timing belt pulleys are specially designed pulleys with evenly spaced, axial grooves cut in their outer diameter to engage precisely corresponding timing belt, ensuring precisely measured, synchronous progress through a system. They are used in power transmission systems where maintaining a constant speed ratio is imperative to the design.

Timing Belt Sizes & Pitch Ranges:

  • XXL (40 DP)
  • MXL)
  • XL)
  • RMA Standards )

Spur Gears

The most common type of gear, spur gears are designed to work on parallel shafts interlocked with other gears. They consist of a cylinder with straight teeth projecting radially. Lampin’s spur gears are manufactured for a wide variety of standard or custom applications.

Spur Gear Sizes & Pitch Ranges:

  • 16-240 DP
  • Metric
  • Instrument-Quality

Sprockets

Sprockets are similar in appearance however, unlike spur gears, sprockets are never interlocked together directly. Instead, they interlock with a chain, track, or other perforated or indented material. Lampin’s sprockets are manufactured for a wide variety of standard or custom applications.

Sprocket Sizes & Pitch Ranges:

  • Micro
  • Ladder
  • Silent
